Sorin Koszyk (pictured right) started his journey in rowing in 2013 with the Detroit Waterfront Rowing Association, where he quickly set his sights on achieving greatness in the sport.

During his junior year at Grosse Pointe South High School, Sorin made a remarkable entrance into the rowing scene. He secured six Club National Championships with the Detroit Boat Club and triumphed in three Midwest Championships.

(CONTINUED) After graduating from Grosse Pointe South in 2016, Sorin attended Cornell University, where he continued to excel. By the time he graduated in 2020, he had amassed an impressive list of accolades, including being an Ivy League Champion, First Team All-Ivy, a two-time Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Champion, and a two-time IRA Crew of the Year honoree.

Sorin is set to compete in the Men’s Doubles Sculls event at the Paris Games, partnering with Ben Davison (pictured left). They are scheduled to race on July 27.
