Delaney Schnell was born on December 21, 1998 in Iron Mountain, Michigan. She spent the first three years of her life in the Menominee area before moving to Tucson, Arizona, where her diving career truly began to flourish.
In high school, Delaney quickly made a name for herself, winning state and national championships. She went on to become a three-time Pac-12 Diver of the Year, a national champion, and a record holder at the University of Arizona. Delaney graduated with a B.S. in Psychology in 2021 and earned an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2024.

(CONTINUED) Delaney’s international career is equally impressive. She won a bronze medal in the 10-meter platform at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships and a silver medal in the synchronized 10-meter platform at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She also secured silver and bronze medals at various World Championships and Pan American Games.
After securing her spot for the 2024 Paris Olympics in both the 10-meter platform and 10-meter synchronized events, Delaney mentioned in an interview with Tucson.com that this event will likely mark the end of her athletic career. She will have the opportunity to conclude her illustrious career on a high note, starting on July 31.
