DETROIT, April 5, 2023 ~ Major League Baseball is back in Detroit this week as “The Best Fans in Baseball” get ready to be treated to both favorite traditions and new experiences.
Beyond new league rules that promise a faster pace and increased excitement, the Tigers took things even further during the off season this year by moving the Comerica Park outfield walls in by 20 feet and dropping their height, thereby increasing the chances for home runs.
Speaking of home runs, Detroiters will likely get to see a few more of them from retiring Tigers legend, Miguel Cabrera. The 12-time MLB All-Star and Triple Crown winner will enjoy a big sendoff this year, with honorary celebrations, commemorative giveaways, and special merchandise.
