Tonight we present to you all the arrival photos from the must-see red carpet of the year—the 2016 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Met Gala co-chairs Taylor Swift and Idris Elba are only two of countless artists, actors and other luminaries expected at the increasingly celeb-packed event, the theme of which this year is Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology. More than 100 pieces will be on exhibit at the Met following Monday’s launch party, chaired as always by Vogue editor in chief and unparalleled taste-maker Anna Wintour.
