WTVD television in Raleigh reported 81-year-old Clarence Blackmon returned home recently after spending months in a hospital for cancer treatments, and there was no food in his house. Unable to leave and with no one to turn to, he called 9-1-1 “to eat something”. Operator Marilyn Hinson responded…by bringing groceries to his house. She even made Mr. Blackmon some sandwiches. WTVD ran the story…the video went viral…and soon, Mr. Blackmon’s shelves and refrigerator were packed with food.   Local Social Services has now checked in…and Mr. Blackmon is getting the help he needs.
